This 64 page educator's resource book and the accompanying film on DVD investigates the history and cultural expression of the Ndzundza and Manala Ndebele and the unique role women have played in preserving and expressing Ndebele identity. The design language developed in their beadwork,homestead architecture and painting, is also approached mathematically, in terms of the remarkable sense of symmetry and proportion displayed.
